The University of Faisalabad proudly co-hosted the highly anticipated ITEA-Learning E-Learning Material Development Competition’s Opening Ceremony, held on September 9, 2024. An event organized by the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA) and the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM). This remarkable event brought together thought leaders, educators, and professionals from across the region to celebrate the importance of Women Empowerment through education and technology.
The event commenced with an inspiring opening speech by Dato' Slow Chen Pin, Chief Advisor of ICCCM. Addressing the participants, Dato' Chen Pin highlighted the importance of innovation in E-Learning and encouraged creative approaches to digital education. The event marks a significant step towards advancing learning technology and fostering collaboration among educational institutions.



The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at TUF. Prof Dr Malik delivered a thought-provoking speech on " Empowering Women, Empowering the World: Pioneering Sustainable Development," emphasizes the vital role of women in driving sustainable growth. It highlights the transformative impact of gender equality and women's leadership in achieving economic, social, and environmental progress globally.
Additionally, the ITEA-Learning, E-Learning Material Development Competition welcomed several distinguished keynote speakers, representing prominent organizations and institutions committed to advancing Women's Empowerment and Sustainable Development. The event featured insights from experts across Southeast Asia, focusing on a wide range of topics including women's creativity, youth empowerment, innovative learning, and digital transformation.



Keynote speakers included: Miss Abigail Lanceta, representing The Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability (SEAMEO SEPS), Miss Lanceta delivered a compelling keynote on "Women's Creativity and Energy: Bridging the Gap for Education and Sustainable Development.” Madam Jamilah Kadir, from The Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Special Education Needs (SEAMEO SEN), Madam Kadir addressed "Empowerment of Women with Disabilities," highlighting strategies to support inclusion and equity.



Siti Nor Hasyyati bt Abd Rahman, representing Majlis Belia Malaysia (MBM), discussed "Harnessing the Power of Youth for a Sustainable Future: Empowering Women as Leaders of Tomorrow," focusing on the pivotal role of young women in driving sustainable change.
Dr Chan Siaw Leong, from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Dr Leong explored "From Access to Impact: Building a Better Future through Innovative Learning," emphasizing the role of innovative educational practices in creating sustainable futures. Maria Lourdes Jarabe, representing Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), Dr Jarabe presented on "Empowering Women in the Digital Age: Exploring How Technology and E-learning Can Accelerate Women's Empowerment and Sustainable Development," highlighting the transformative power of digital tools.



Litya Surisdani Anggraeniko, from Universitas Harapan Bangsa (UHB), Ms Anggraeniko discussed "Protection of Women within the Domestic Framework in Cases of Marital Rape," providing critical insights into the legal and social protections for women.
Furthermore, the event featured a special guest speaker, Executive Director Ms Fajer Rabia Pasha, representing Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE), graced the event. She further enriched the discourse on women's education and empowerment.
These distinguished speakers brought diverse perspectives and innovative ideas, underscoring the importance of collaboration, creativity, and education in advancing women's empowerment and achieving sustainable development goals.
