International Webinar Highlights “The Position of Management Information Systems in the Business World”

Istanbul Aydin University's Faculty of Applied Sciences successfully hosted an international webinar titled “The Position of Management Information Systems in the Business World” on May 30, 2024. Esteemed participants from around the globe, including faculty members from Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, China, Malaysia, and many other countries, gathered to discuss the pivotal role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in today's business landscape.

The webinar featured three distinguished faculty members from The University of Faisalabad who contributed valuable insights into the strategic application of MIS across various sectors. Dr Muhammad Farooq Akhtar, Head of the National Business School at TUF, presented on “Driving Business Success: The Strategic Role of MIS in the Global Marketplace.” Dr Akhtar emphasized the integral role of MIS in driving business efficiency, competitive advantage, and global market expansion.

Dr Shaista Shafiq, Head, Department of Biotechnology at TUF, shared her expertise in “Data Analysis and Deep Learning Approaches for Science Disciplines.” Dr Shaista highlighted how advanced data analysis and deep learning techniques can revolutionize scientific research and applications, providing new avenues for innovation and discovery.

Mr Muhammad Hanan Iftekhar, Head of International Programs at TUF, discussed “The Power of MIS: Empowering Businesses in the Digital Age.” Mr Iftekhar explored how MIS empowers businesses by enhancing decision-making.

In conclusion, the webinar served as a significant catalyst for advancing the understanding and application of Management Information Systems in the business world.
