International Contest of Internet of Things Technology

Students from The University of Faisalabad participated in the 2nd International Contest of Internet of Things Technology. The hybrid competition was supervised by China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Organizing Committee, and hosted by Nantong Vocational University of China, on December 2nd-7th, 2022. There were total three participants who consisted of faculty and students.

A training session was conducted for the students prior to the competition to prepare students for the contest. The contest was divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge, and practice. The theoretical part was based on the basic knowledge of Internet of Things (IOT).

The Practical part was based on virtual simulation, including RFID acquisition network construction, sensor acquisition network construction, and Iota application acquisition network construction. Whereas the theoretical part assessed the knowledge participants had about IOT, the practical section made possible an evaluation of the participants’ skills, and their practice of theory. The winning project was that of Hafiz Muhammad Usman and Ahsan Bilal, two students from the Department of Computation Sciences of The University of Faisalabad.
